Specialized care for transgender and gender-diverse youth in New York and Connecticut

Aspen Psychological Center

Specialized Therapy for Transgender & Gender-Diverse Youth

Expert, developmentally informed care for transgender and gender-diverse children, teens, and young adults — with particular expertise in neurodivergence and trauma.

I work with youth and their families when things feel new, complex, high-stakes, or overwhelming. Many of the young people I see are autistic, ADHD, highly sensitive, or carrying the effects of trauma.

They need nuanced care that understands how identity, nervous systems, development, and real-world stressors interact.

This is specialized work — and it’s what I do.

Do any of these feel familiar?

Your child is transgender or questioning, and you’re constantly wondering if you’re doing the right thing

Neurodivergence and gender identity intersect in ways other providers haven’t fully understood

Anxiety, shutdowns, or emotional overload are interfering with daily life

Affirming” care felt good in theory, but didn’t help your child feel safer or function better

If you’ve been thinking, “we need someone who really understands this,” you’re not alone.

My Clinical Focus

I specialize in working with transgender and gender-diverse youth whose needs are layered or complex — particularly when gender identity intersects with neurodivergence, trauma, or chronic stress.

My work often includes support with:

  • Autism, ADHD, masking, rigidity, and emotional regulation

  • Anxiety, depression, shutdowns, and overwhelm

  • Gender identity exploration, dysphoria, and minority stress

  • School-related stress, burnout, avoidance, or conflict

  • Parent support and family communication

This work is not about changing who a young person is. It’s about helping them feel safer, more understood, and more able to engage with their lives.

Why Families Work With Me

I’m a licensed clinical psychologist with advanced training in trauma, neurodevelopment, and gender-diverse care. Families often come to me after trying therapy elsewhere and realizing they need support that goes deeper than validation alone.

I work at the intersection of identity, development, nervous systems, and real-world stressors — and I approach this work with intention, nuance, and respect for complexity.

This is specialized care. I keep my scope focused so I can do this work well.
